Inspire Community Garden - Workshops & Activities September/October

It's good to see what workshops/activities will be held in September and October at the garden.

The wild flowers are now loosing their vibrant color and the fruit trees at the soft fruit cage area are producing some apples.

There was a workshop on building a pizza oven and the oven was getting ready to deliver some lovely pizza on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

It was a busy day looking at all the insects out for pollen.

 The tomato and the caterpillar.

The soft fruits are looking well and very plump.

One Sunflower is heads above the rest of the plants.

I look forward to watch the changes of color to the Chinese Lantern fruit which is also known to be used for medicinal use!

Internet information:- The plant has a long history of herbal uses including anti-inflammatory, fever-reducing, and cough-suppressing treatments.

The unripe berry and other parts of the plant is poisonous, so care must be taken when harvesting these fruits!

                                                      To Be Continued.................................
