Inspire Community Garden visit Rhubarb Farm

We went to visit Rhubarb Farm to find out more about polytunnels and the composting toilet.

Rhubarbs home page describes:
"An agriculture-based environmental social enterprise, based in Langwith, on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border. We use the therapeutic organic horticulture model for developing skills, and for improving health and well-being."

It was very impressive walking through the gates and seeing all that they had created in a few years from the waste land. Very impressive indeed!

They have been sponsored by the Nation Lottery.
The shopping bags were filled with their home produce and each bag had the owners name on their Rhubarb Farm hessian shopping bags.
They were all busy getting everything done for another busy shopping day.

We seen all their storage area's and the cooler room

We seen what they do with old toilet seats, sinks & bath/corner baths, old large worn tyres and wheelbarrows; it's been so inspiring to get us all moving forward to create a great piece of land.

Beautiful trained green archway.

There was smaller polytunnels prepared and waiting for the sun to come out so they could cover the area's. I never knew that a polytunnel can be very temperamental when it's put up due to the colder weather.
You learn something new every day.....!
I do believe these sights have given us all so many things to think about with Inspire Community Garden.

Next visit....... The Composting Toilet.

Well,..... I'm so, very, very, very impressed as there was no lingering stench of "You know what....!"
This was the highlight of our trip and believe me, this was such a fantastic Highlighting Toilet with a urinal and painted walls with decorations of side table and a vase of flowers to boot.........

When you walked into the large poly tunnels there was so much warmth in the air which was pretty amazing

I then got on my knees and prayed for a pond one of these days......

Then we went to see the chickens.

These cabin pictures can make us dream and people do say that:.........
Dreams Can Come True.....
&...
You Can Wish Upon A Star...

So I'll go and dream and wish upon a star.......

To be continued........
