Chesterfield College Week 2- Foundation Diploma Art & Design

Architecture is the art or practice of designing and constructing buildings.
The complex or carefully designed structure of things.

An architect is the person who plans and designs anything from chairs to the structure of a building; where light should come from; the smooth lines of what is being created in living areas; reviews the construction of buildings.

I've been looking through:
BLUEPRINT
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2015
ISSUE 343 / £30.00
www.design/curial.com

24.5cm width x 33cm length
weight: 1kg 250g

This magazine is for Architects and the wanna-be architects, it gives you a vision of what you'd really like in your life - We can all dream!
In the magazine there is the Blueprint Awards for Architecture 2015
The magazine has great photography pieces showing the design of inner and outer buildings.
Advertising International Interiors Show, different exhibitions and information on the London Design Festival.
There are some appealing pictures of design from chairs in rooms, light, staircases and to the lavish winding area of Grace Farms complex to house an evangelical church and community centre.

Grace Farms Complex shows the effect of curved glass featured in the buildings which has been exemplar; a shining example of curved glass.
This area has been created by SANAA, a multiple award-winning architectural firm based in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 1995 by two Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa and in 2010 they were awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize. This is given to honour the living architect or architects whose built work demonstrates a combination of vision and talent qualities.

I was attracted to this particular magazine as I enjoyed the scene of Grace Farms on the front cover.
